Okay, your new website is awesome and you're just waiting for your site to go viral, get noticed on facebook, get linked from slashdot, etc.

But what if you actually get what you're asking for? And your site falls over from too much traffic? Do you know how much traffic can your current setup actually supports? Can't you just buy another server?

The bad news is: scaling is never linear. The good news is: scaling doesn't have to be linear.

This session will provide a look at the details of serving a site with Drupal, an overview of the usual ways to optimize your stack, and some advanced strategies like the use of Varnish and a Content Delivery Network.
