Ensuring that all visitors who come to a site are able to perceive the content, understand and operate the user interface, and do so robustly is essential to a professional development practice.
Much effort was exerted during the Drupal 7 development cycle to ensure that Drupal is an incredibly accessible CMS out-of-the-box. Our community stepped up and did a great job at meeting this goal.
In this session you will learn:
- What web content "accessibility" means.
- How users with different types of disabilities interact with web sites.
- What laws, regulations, and guidelines exist that address web content accessibility.
- What features are in Drupal 7 to improve web content accessibility.
- What is being done to improve the accessibility of Drupal 8.
